Nick Lachey to Jessica Simpson: Congratulations!

Divorce is a painful process for couples, so there are going to be mixed emotions if a former spouse gets re-married. Just the same, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson appear nothing but happy for each other.
Much as the tabloids wish he'd give a better sound bite, Nick wishes nothing but the best for Jess, who got engaged to Eric Johnson over the weekend.
"I will say the same thing I always say: I wish her the very best," said Lachey, who just got engaged to Vanessa Minnillo himself after years of dating.

Asked how she felt about Lachey's engagement, Simpson is equally mature, telling Ryan Seacrest "Our relationship was over a really long time ago, and it would be nice if everyone could move on and celebrate the love between him and Vanessa."
Like Jessica, Nick says he's "basking in the glow" of the news and "enjoying that. I'm sure we'll get on the other planning shortly. We are just enjoying this experience."
Simpson and Lachey famously wed in 2002 and infamously split in 2005. Even then, it wasn't bitter. "This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other," they said in a statement.

Kate Middleton and Prince William: Officially Engaged!

It's been a rumor for months, but it's now an official Royal announcement: Kate Middleton and Prince William are engaged.
The two have been together for years, with a couple brief break-ups along the way. Already regulars in the pages of supermarket tabloids, Kate and William can expect even more coverage as they move toward a wedding that's scheduled to take place some time in 2011.

Ahead for Kate Middleton and Prince William: love, marriage... and $20 billion.
William proposed during a vacation in Kenya last month. He has informed the Queen of his intentions and also sought permission from Middleton's father.
In part, the official statement by Great Britain reads:
The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.
The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.
Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.

Jamie and Lynn Spears: Reconciled!

Britney Spears' divorced parents are back together.
Jamie and Lynn Spears, who also have a daughter Jamie Lynn Spears, are reconciling eight years after getting divorced. They're not married again (yet), but "they're back together and are doing well and happy," a source tells People.
"[They're] not remarried but back together."
The Spears Parents
The couple, who split in 2002, were looking friendly on Saturday at Los Angeles lounge Boudoir, cheering and dancing as DJ Mr. Best spun Britney Spears hits.
"They were in a great mood together," says an onlooker of the pop star's folks. "They were laughing together, dancing and laughing [and] totally having fun."
This sparked rumors of the couple rekindling their lost passion, which were soon confirmed by people close to the singer's camp and her parents themselves.
"Lynne is a dear, sweet person," a family friend says. "She deserves all the happiness in the world. My only wish for her would be a happy ending."
Congratulations to the whole family on this happy news.

Lil Wayne Hit With Another Paternity Suit

Lil Wayne has four kids. That we know of. Of course four, at least three have different mothers. The mother of the second child has never been established.
In any case, the ranks of Weezy's brood may be growing yet again! A Louisiana woman claims he fathered her eight-year-old grandson and wants a DNA test.
She'd have gotten it long ago had it not been for Hurricane Katrina. Really.
Lil Wayne and T-Pain
T-Pain (left) has nothing to do with this article.
Ever since the baby was born in 2002, the boy's family "tried multiple times to get a paternity test" from the troubled rapper, only to face unforeseen delays.
Such as a massive natural disaster. The New Orleans court system moved at a snail's pace anyway, but after Katrina, the case's records were all destroyed.
Proceedings were therefore delayed by a matter of years. Finally, this year, the court ordered Lil Wayne to submit to a DNA test. He was in jail at the time.
Now that he's been sprung, Wayne has until early-December to take it. Lightning (or hurricanes, more accurately) aren't likely to strike twice, fortunately.

Will.i.am Blasts "Disrespectful" Michael Jackson Album; Akon Defends Collaboration

Will.i.am is not a fan of the posthumous Michael Jackson album, Michael.
The forthcoming project is "disrespectful" to the King of Pop, who the the Black Eyed Peas frontman says would be rolling in his grave at its release.
His reasoning? MJ was such a perfectionist, he would never want fans to hear his songs without his approval. In will.i.am's mind, this is a low blow.
a will.i.am picA is For Akon
Akon sees Michael Jackson's legacy differently than will.i.am.
"Whoever put it out and is profiting off of it, I want to see how cold they are," he said. "To say that what (MJ) contributed during his life wasn't enough. He just wasn't any ordinary artist. He was a hands-on person. To me it's disrespectful."
"Michael Jackson songs are finished when Michael says they're finished."
Will.i.am, who recorded with Michael just before he died, says those tapes will never see the light of day, unlike "Hold My Hand," MJ's collaboration with Akon.
Their duet is the first single from Michael, and Akon disagrees with will.i.am, saying the upcoming record is actually keeping the King Of Pop's "legacy alive."
"I don't see anything disrespectful about it," he says. "These albums would have come out if he was alive or dead." What do you think? Is it good or bad?
You can see both arguments, clearly, but it's up to the fans to decide. If they embrace Michael's music, and a new generation of listeners is inspired by his talent, however unfinished, it's Akon who may be proven correct in this debate.

Oksana Grigorieva Emails: Proof of Extortion Against Mel Gibson?

"Too much evidence, my dear."
These words, excerpted from Oksana Grigorieva emails sent to Mel Gibson just before their mediation in May, are a big part of what his lawyers believe prove attempted extortion took place between the actor and his estranged ex.
Oksana sent the emails May 2, two weeks before she and Mel went into mediation which resulted in a $15 million package for Oksana and baby Lucia.
Do Oksana Grigorieva's emails reveal sinister intentions?
In the email, Oksana Grigorieva accuses Mel and his family of leaking stories about their breakup, specifically ones that "claim you dumped me."
Mel's lawyers believe the emails show Oksana as a manipulator, someone not fearful of Gibson at all, but merely scheming to extort his millions.
Oksana writes, "Does your family think that my modesty and class could pass for stupidity?" She adds, "Do they think that I will let them carry on with ruining my reputation, which was unblemished before i ever layed eyes on you?"
"The facts are stubborn things, information is power, you told me so yourself."
Oksana has accused Mel of assault. In a court declaration, he admits slapping her but says it was a one-time thing and done to protect Lucia.
It seemed that in spite of their history, Oksana even wanted Mel back, writing, "Untill this morning I was still missing you so much and secretly wanted and hoped for us to be together again." Clearly that didn't work out.
Oksana accuses Gibson's wife, Robyn, and daughter, Hannah, of waging a "silent war" against her, complaining, "Are you a little boy, or are you a man? Why are you so easily influence by your mommy Robyn?" Ouch ... burn.
Oh, and she even references the Mel Gibson tapes.
"As far as the tapes go, I only played one to my lawyer," Oksana claims via email. "Becouse on march 15 Michelle proposed on ur behalf not a very generous gift for our daughter and there was nothing for me."
"My lawyers also told me that tom Hansen said i woudn get a penny and more importaunly, my lawyers warned me that ur laywers are capaple of false fabrication about me in press, i.e., an unfit mother, a prostitute etc. so you can have the baby and I get to go to my f...ing moth hole as u told me."
"Too much evidence, my dear."
Well ... there you have it. While Gibson has some serious problems, and while it's hard to say this "proves" extortion was committed, it's looking more and more like Oksana is not the innocent victim she appears to be.

As first reported by TMZ, an employee inside Mayweather's gated Las Vegas community approached the athlete late yesterday afternoon and inquired about a parking situation. Mayweather allegedly responded to the question by poking the man in the face with his finger.
Police were called to the scene, but Mayweather did not answer their knocks on his front door. The case has now been turned over to the DA, who will decide whether or not to pursue it further.
